The honey bee experiences the world and life in pixilation…
Truro, MA, The National Sea Shore has trees gnarled, twisted from the wind and harsh weather. This was inspired by an en plein aire painting that I completed in July. I was up on bluff painting these crazy trees when these wild blue berry pickers entered the scene.
This painting was inspired by an en plain aire painting that I completed Summer 2018. I was painting along Route 3 in Provincetown, MA near Race Point Beach. This is a cluster of bushes and a beach oak. The trees and landscape are subject to a lot of rough weather there along the beach. And the landscape can appear harsh. But at night, when your near the beach, there is a sense of magic and elegance that pervades the landscape. That is the feel of this painting.
